I dont remember what exactly made it so hard... I have a 6 sp, so I didnt drop the driveshaft. I think something was in my way so I couldnt get it in at the same angle I was able to get the driver side one in at. I think the drag link might have been in the way. I remember having to push up on the coil a little and then wiggle an edge onto the lower mount. Then I gave it two good shots with my palm and it popped in. Then I had to use a strap wrench to turn it and get it to seat right. I probably could have lowered the axle a little more, but the brakeline had me nervous.

Watch the ESP wires also, not much slack there to work with. I dropped the front shaft and trackbar on mine, I think it gave the axle more room to drop. But I was putting in those taller springs. Good luck!

I was just like you guys - couldn't way it get it put on.
I just put mine on about a week or so back; went with the Teraflex shocks. It’s awesome love the stance and ride. Also add the SpiderTrax 1 1/2" spacers all the way around, they pulled the wheels/tires out to the end of fenders. I’m going to run my stock wheels during the winter and put new wheels and tires (33's or maybe 35's) on in the spring.

after

The JK steering is different than a TJ. No need to mess with the toe, unless you want to change it from the stock setting. Look at the JK-Forum writeup and only turn that part. Leave the other adjustment alone unless you have a reason to go there.

This is from WOL's writeup.

BB install way easier than it sounds, rookie with the Jeep and installed in 4 hours and changed shocks too. Just take your time! Cordless impact helps too!

Install is done!! And I did it virtually all by myself! And new shoes on too.... rides great except it does pull to the right just a tad. Any idea what I should adjust for that? 2.5" BB with 33x12.5x18 Toyo Open Country MTs on stock wheels.

One "trick" I did was disconnect the brake line connection and was able to drop the axle another couple inches. Had noooo problem getting the front springs on and off.

I'll post pics once I get some daylight shots. I'm sooooooooo excited!

I am looking at getting the TF BB as well. With the added rear sway bar links is there still a requirement to install the BDS bracket. What about adj track bars? At $180 a piece they skyrocket the price of this BB. Do I still need them?

i have an 08 Rubicon Unlimited and I will be installing 33's after the lift.
