Ok,

Game plan for our 10ft pop up. spring over should net me 4", adding 2" lift blocks and then 2-3" shakles if needed. I want to clear at least a 235 tire back there. also adding pro comp shocks onto it! then onto accessories and armor. We are going to add some x bracing on the frame to add strenth and some type of cargo rack on the back for a generator and gas and maybe my colaspeable barbque. Adding diamond plate to the front and 8" up around the sides curved around the bottom to create side rocker panels. looking at putting some teflon sheet like hockey board under the bottom drilled out to let water out but add protecton as a skid plate type item.

All this should add up to a camper worthy of what I want.

My set up. Nothing crazy but gets the job done.
Killer set up! That is exactly what I need except in Detonator Yellow.

Mine still needs a lot of work, but it's coming along...

Did my trailer in stages. Took around 2 years to where I have it now.

New to me. Paid $1000.

Then added the Gerry cans and mounted the Hi-lift jack and used a canvas to keep out the elements.

Finally saved enough to get a roof top tent.

I use a canopy for a front porch.

Cool setup.

What kind of trailer is that and where did you find that tent?

The trailer is an M416, modified with a tailgate. The tent is a Tepui Kukenam Camo. There is a dealer here in Phoenix. Tepui Tents

To reduce the cost of a roof tent I went with a double-wide tent cot + rain fly. This gives you plenty of metal to bolt to your roof/trailer. Any old piece of ladder will do to get up there :-) It folds in the middle to fit smaller spaces. You would need 2 support legs if mounted sideways on a smaller trailer or incorporate the ladder as support like the expensive tents do. Dimensions: 32 inches wide x 90 inches long x 40 inches high. About 2 - 300 USD.

doesnt even come close to comparing to the comfort of a rtt. i have both and would choose the rtt hands down every time. i rarely use the tent cot...

If I had your money I would go with the hard shell roof tent for $2,500 plus shipping :-) However, some people like a cheaper alternative. What cot model do you have and what RTT? Pictures?
