OME shocks seem pretty good to me. Been on long dirt roads with washboard that will shake your teeth loose, the shocks way too hot to touch, and they've kept working well without leaks or breakage.

I had the older version (not the Nitrocharger) that I bought new lat year...probably the last set anywhere. I heard they were softer that the Nitrochargers. I did not like them. They felt "busy" and the damping was so-so. The Bilstein 5100s feel slightly stiffer but are much smoother and have better damping on the road. They also stiffen up better offroad when coming off drops and ledges. I sold my OMEs. Maybe the Nitrochargers are better.

So...only a "few" months & already replacing them?? Can you tell why, since you say they are a "great shock"? Thnx*

i know a guy with the ome and they do ride nice on the road....I think they are too plush off road though....They also look like hell after a few wheeling trips and 1 winter.....paint comes off and they rust. My bilsteins are stiffer on road but not jarring, they rebound better and don't heat fade as bad on washboard roads......for a dd that only wheels a little they are nice and plush.

I have a set and they've been great! I have the non-sport Nitrochargers.

I actually just picked up "invest2m4" ^s set up ..... Met up this weekend , I don't know when I'll get around to installing it , but when I do I'll be sure to share my thoughts . As invest noted the finish on the shocks .... Ima just paint them but that has really been the only complaint I've read on them !

Off-road they are fine. They handle washboard roads and slow rock crawling well.
