I think silver and stone white are the only colors that could pull this look off. Imagine a JK entirely Red rock or rescue green ?

Which reminds me...a couple days ago I saw a JK unlimited in red rock. The owner painted his rear view mirrors, window guards? (I think thats what they call them, the things that prevent water from coming into the vehicle while the windows are open), front and rear bumper all painted red rock.

The JK had an "X" sticker but also had his fenders painted. I just thought it was a bit over the top, but the paint job in general looked great. So, I dont know if it was a complete paint job or if the guy just did the switcheroo on the stickers.

Ultimately I'm just trying to say...I like things simple...i guess, haha.

that's part of the reason i went with black. i like when the roof matches. i actually like the tan interior better, but went with gray to get the black roof.

I think Steel Blue could pull it off, the green don't look as bad as I thought.

I have been proven wrong! The Rubicons and the X's in all of the color selections can pull off the painted top. Great looking Rubicon by the way Castellar! Me likey! How much did it cost to powder coat your rims?

However if a Sahara did this...might be overkill on the paint. Just in my opinion, not bashing anyone who has done this but having fenders, top, rear view mirrors and bumpers all painted just doesn't look pleasing to the eye. The X's and Rubicons get the nice black fenders that allow it to look more pleasing to my eyes.

How are these paint jobs holding up? I spoke to my local body shop today and they were concerned the paint would start to chip around the rain gutters and other places.
