Painted Top???????
I have been thinking about painting my top as well. I am still waiting delivery. On a train somewhere between Toledo and Kansas City. Any way, I have a couple of pics. One before and one after a quick and crude photoshop paint job. I definitely like the look of the painted top. My wife too said it makes it look more like a hummer. I am going to get a quote to get it done. My boss's son paints cars for a living. Maybe I can get a descent price. I can do most of the fiberglass work myself. I have experience from a previous project building an airplane. Filling and sanding is tedious, but a monkey can be taught to do it. Since I don't have my jeep yet, how hard is it to remove the rear side windows from the hardtop?

Any photos of the painted top yet? I'm planning the same thing (although the quote I got from our local reputable paint/body shop was $1500-$2000 (that includes sanding down the top, primer and using OEM paint and clear coat w/ lifetime warranty on the paint)...I just have to wait til it stops raining and its not so cold out since I don't have dual tops...

As much as I like a painted top, I am not sure if I would do it with a white one. My son, just bought a white Hummer
