They have the smallest bit of texture. More like a rubber-type feel.

so- my platidip session was cut short today and my last wheel wasnt as good as the others. Can i go back tommorow and lightly clean the already sprayed rims with denatured alchohol and add a few more coats?

...I need to do another few coats, its been about 24 hours. Should I just use a wet rag, or more Netatured alchohol, or friggin gasoline like boy wonder did? I love the look but it is too light on the edges of the spokes, because I had to get my spaces done and the wheels reinstalled before a family function. In the yard of my apartment complex! LOL

You can just apply more coats. The more coats, the more durable. I have one light coat and 3 good coats in my fenders. I pressure washed it yesterday with no problems.

I am my own worst critic! THe last wheel I did, after ruining two nozzels, is really splotchy on the walls of the spokes- so I will reshoot them ON THE HUBS when the wind stops. Just stuff the wheels with newspaper and blast right on the lugs this time I think- they look silly as the ONLY shiny thing on my Jeep!

The good thing about plasti dip is if you mess up let it dry peel it off and start over.

Just did mine yesterday and they turned out great. I didn't mask a thing except the air valve. I didn't even mask anything off as the overspray just peels off cleanly when dry. I also learned that you have to check the can spray hole before just trying to use it as the rubber dries on it and can cause irregular spray pattern.

I love the look.
