Default Rock Krawler JK 2.5" Max Travel Kit

If you have experience with this kit I would like your input. I have ordered it so I don't need to know what I should have bought (brand wise) just issues/additions or tips on the install good or bad please!

The Plan/2012 JK Auto/373 gear

Wheel/Tire Blackrock 909 17x8 4.5BS Goodyear Duratrac 315-70R17
Bilstein shocks
Terraflex exhaust spacers and bumpstops
Procal tuner

Drive shafts/gears (maybe) to be ordered after lift is complete

All this and some very expense Bumpers/Sliders from the very helpful Sean at Northridge!
Thx in advance for your input!

My only install related issue was that I installed the trackbar so the bend was pretty much straight up and down. It hit my custom beefy diff cover. Even rotated forward, it would hit. I swapped it out for a Poison Spyder.

Good choice on all of it. I'll be putting mine on in a month. I'll ride around on stock tires for a while though.

1FoxyJK,
Ordered everything yesterday!!!
Tires and wheels will be in tomorrow, lift kit and procal next week. The guys at Northridge were very helpful. I spoke with Sean, I didn't know they have a shop that does installs and they gave installed thus kit for a long time and have had no few issues. He did recommend the bump stops with this kit. I will keep you posted on any issues!

Yeah, you have to add bump stops to the kit. Mine are 1" in the front, 2.25" in the rear. I have cut my fenders and run 315's.

I installed this kit a last month on my JKU. Love it so far. A couple things you should know before hand that will help you during install...
Not sure what you are gonna use for bumpstops, but I got the RK 2" bumpstops. You have to drill and tap the holes for the front bumpstops in the spring pads. The instructions will tell you what size hole to drill.
The holes for the rear bumpstops were already there. Getting the nuts on the bolts was a bit tricky, as there isn't alot of room there. I used 2 1/4" long 3/8" bolts and lock nuts. The lock nuts were too thick, so we just grinded one side down until we could get them on the bolt. Just grind one until it fits, and than grind the others down the same. Also, a normal, non locking nut should fit, but be sure to use loc-tite.
I also got the "wings" on the rear trackbar bracket welded to the axle as per the instructions. You have to do that before you wheel it, or so I was told.
Also, when you get your alignment, bring your build sheet and show it to them. Explain about the control arms and how they are set to certain lengths. I didn't do that, and ended up with a vibration in the front end. I had to take it back as they had set the castor back to factory specs, which doesn't work with those longer contol arms. They ended up just adjusting the toe, and I had to recenter the steering wheel myself a day or tow later.
Also, 3 in 1 oil is used to lubricate the control arm hiem joints through a little allan key plug. lube them before you bolt them in. just remove the plug and squeeze a few drops in.

Hope this helps you a bit.

depending on the amount type of offroading you do, your front drive shaft wont last long.
