For all 2010 owners, it was a piece of cake on my 2010.

Just installed mine. Thanks to the tips found here it was easy. Just backed the bolt out of the base of the mirror half way, gave it a few taps with the hammer & it popped right out. I did have to cut the little plastic filler pieces in half to get the mirror base to fit all the way down into the bracket.

Now I can go doorless again!

I installed mine last night....pretty painless install but no corrosion yet so that's probably why.

I made sure not to overtighten the bolt when putting the mirrors back in to the RR bracket....but the instructions said something about the breakway engaging.

The breakaway does not function the same as the stock brackets with a definitive click. These things kind of just move back and forth within the base.

Did I do something wrong?

Save your money on this mod and use it somewhere else.
PM sent.... This thread helps explain the issues involved with the Jeep JK mirrors. They have been changed 3 times in 3.5 years. Late 2010 - new 2011 may be the 4th change.
We will have our 2011 at the end of this month. Will be working on a GENII design because of the new heated-power option.

We are also coming out with a new mirror kit that will include (2) mounting brackets, (2) removable arms, (2) Knobs, (2) 6" round mirror heads.

Eh, it's heading into the fall (though that IS the best time of year in NE Fla)...and then winter. I think mebbe I just chill out and see what your next generation update is....but it's gotta happen by spring time!

We should have this other version ready by then... Mounts to the top two bolt holes and you simply remove the mirror when not in use. We will still do a GenII on the relo bracket regardless. This is just another option coming your way. This is the rough protoype we used for development.

Installed them on my 2009.

I hit the covers and the brackets with some bedliner spray. They match the fenders and the rails better.

The vision out of the passenger side was bad, but adding the 3" bubble mirror
easily solved that problem.

Not totally happy with how the mirrors sit/rest on the brackets. A little wider/more receptacle fit would have been nice. All and all OK for the money.
