Here's the response I got from 4WD when I asked when the Smittybilt bumpers might ship out:

We are not expecting these in our warehouse until August.

There was a picture of the new SRC front in the newest ORA mag. There were five ~3" holes drilled across the bottom plate. It looked good. I hope they do that on the final version.

Yeah I spoke with Mat at Smittybilt today. Looks like the end of this month is what they are shooting for.

Ive heard some conflicting stories about the availability dates.....end of aug only 50? Rear bumper in sept sometime. I ordered these bumpers and winch in april and they cancelled my order because they had no idea of completion dates (4wd.com). I really like these bumpers...tube looks cool, maybe not as strong but I dont plan on using jeep as a ramming tool, (although things do happen). We will also need to purchase the winch plate and the last time I looked it was 300$ from warn, has anyone actully recieved there smitty bumpers and found a more reasonable plate? Im getting ready to put my name on the list for these bumpers and hope for the best. Otherwise I may have them custom made out of salt lake city to look simular. I want these bumpers!

Front Bumper First 50 current date is 7-20 (as of yesterday).

Rear-September
Rear w/tire carrier, probably January. (my guess)

Smittybilt Winches - First 380 have shipped. UPS says mine will be at my house today.

The front bumper does NOT need a separate winch mounting plate. It is winch-ready.

I actually looked at the Warn Winch mount, which was 300, and then I decided to buy this bumper instead ~300 at the time, now 450.

I just called them and they said 60 were do in on 7/20. I'm in the top 15 he said. I have been waiting since Feb. for my rockers. They were supposed to arrive today at 4wd but we will see.

I just talked to Mat at Smittybilt today (actually for another problem with the winch (to be posted elsewhere soon)). Looks like the 7-20 date at 4WD will come and go as well. He wanted to guess another thirty days, but wouldn't commit. I think he was worried it would be longer, but didn't want to disappoint me too much, as opposed to thinking it would be soon, but didn't want to get my hopes up.

The final version will have 5 holes drilled across the bottom, as seen in the latest ORA mag from 4 wheel parts. They are to assist with Winch installation.

Price is now 419 (which still isnt bad, and I sure as hell dont like any of the others on the market) .
But can anyone explain how the rear bumper w/ tire carrier is only 399 while the front bumper is 419?
how the hell is the rear w/ tire carrier cheaper? doesnt make since to me... I mean usually, the rear is about twice the price as the front.....

Still not a bad deal being 800 (roughly) for the two.....
