FWIW my balljoints went with only 6000 miles on them and my steering box at 12K.

Im told its a Jeep thing.

sounds like you beat the hell out of ur jeep? i dont but i wish i could. wouldnt afford the repairs. heheh

A road balance machine (if I'm not mistaken)what it does is balances the wheel like if it were on the ground. It sort of has a roller which applies pressure(force) to the tire and the machine indicates where each weight goes on the rim, not bunched up like on traditional balancing machines.

Now, as for the ball joints. Sorry I don't have any pics for you, but if you follow each end of the tie rod you will find the part that connects the tie rod to the knuckle. That my my friend is a ball joint(2). Now if you look for the next metal rod that connects to a thing that looks like a automotive window handle to your upper right as you are looking at the front end to the jeep. There you will also find 2 more ball joints on each end. There is one more ball joint that I'm aware of on the passenger side just below the last one I mentioned. That is a total of 5 ball joints.

X2 on what he said. And no actually I don't be the hell out of it. It has seen 95% pavement and I still have these issues. Maybe its the road salt and potholes here.

il try to look for the ball joints and check whats going on. if they are bad i hope the dealer will replace them cuz he didnt want to replace my steering since i have a bb. so all i got to do is jack up a wheels and move it around? and if it does then i have bad ball joints?
