what has become of this?
I received my 3870 today for a 2012 wrangler unlimited rubicon

i now have an entirely dead vehicle and it's after superchips support hours

i did the online update it completed entirely

hooked up to jeep it saved the stock files successfully

selected the 87 tune it went 0-100% on file 1/2 then proceeded to ask for a few cycles of off/run

ERROR..reset to stock settings...ok figure i'll go stock and try again tomorrow...same deal goes 0-100% twice then a few off/run cycles

at the end it just gave a beep "tuner error call superchips use code #G-00"

Per their Tech forum, this looks like a hardware failure code. Have you tried setting your JK computer back to factory?

not yet (assuming just battery disconnect???)

was going to wait to hear from superchips before trying anything to prevent further damage

I don't see how that could hurt (disconnecting the batt). I've read where if you had a weak battery, or had a charger on it or even when going through the ignition on and off process, if anything was on (radio, air, whatever), could cause problems. Don't know how true any of that is though.

I just received mine last Monday, updated it online yesterday and waiting till Friday to install. I don't wanna risk complications in during the week since my jk is my dd. Though I'm not sure if Superchips is open on Saturdays if I need to call??

I sure hope you get this resolved an don't have to return it.

battery -should- be good have not had any signs of a bad battery and I had just gotten back from ~30 minutes of driving so the alternator should have been doing its job..had heater fan, radio, interior/exterior lights all off as the instructions said

sitting tight till morning when I can call in. i tried registering on their forum to ask there but never got the confirmation email (even tried the resend) and no not in spam

I know these are isolated cases, and I'm only reading about the cases that went bad, but Superchips better come through big time for all of you who have these problems. I know these stories have completely scared me away from using them.

I originated this thread. I got my PCM back today. Installed started right up no CEL. I will drive to work tomorrow and report back. What a debacle. I was one of the first it happened too, so they weren't as quick to just say send in your PCM. I had to try 10 diff things first lol. And being my home computer is a Mac which they are not compatible with it sucked.
