Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
i am on day 4 with no superchips installed still no pinging... debating on getting rid of it... i lived without it before, and the computer is showing better gas mileage... the major plus of the superchips was the tranny tuning however with the k&n panel filter and the mbrp exhaust i dont know if i really netted much....
Ahhh man, bad move combining this thread to the initial impressions thread...not even the same discussion! Now there are 155 pages to read through! haha. What's the point seriously? Combining a bunch of info together into one mega thread isn't helping anyone out, imo.
Anyway, sorry to everyone about the name calling, lol. First bad experience with a user on here...most of you are classy people who enjoy helping fellow Jeepers. Guess some people don't feel the same way.

Anyone else having TPMS issues? I recently updated my tuner (2weeks ago?) and installed a new tune. I had the TPMS set to hit the light at 34psi, figure if I have the sensors, I will use them. I usually run on 36psi. If I air down for the trail I get the TPMS light (fine, doesn't bother me). Right now I have three tires at 32psi and one at 31psi, no light! Attempted to get into and see what it's showing as the trigger pressure, it 'initializes' 'retrieves tpms data' and kicks me back to the 'additional features' menu. Tried it three times, cycled the key, unplugged/plugged in the tuner. No help.
I have it hooked up to the laptop, says it's 'updating', we'll see if it fixes itself.

I had a similar issue with mine and could not get it to function so I entered a trouble ticket. While waiting I had updated again and then it would "reboot" after exiting the pressure screen. They finally called me back after about 3 weeks and had me update again and it was fixed. So hopefully the update you downloaded corrects it.
I can't speak of all their staff but I have always directed my calls to Ron Rapp in tech support. This predates my JK and began with my 2006 Dodge Ram. Nothing but the best support from him and when he doesn't have the answers he elevates it to someone that does and can provide remedy.
I think there is an algorithm involved. It probably depends on how much below the threshold you are and for how long. Also I know initially it takes a number of on/off cycles for the ECU to learn your TPMS codes. When I bought new wheels with new sensors it learned them automatically.
I can attest that I've had the TPMS light come on after I reflashed the setting to 30 psi with the superchips and my tires fell below that.
Also note that auto parts store and gas station tire pressure gauges are garbage. I have two of the exact same tire pressure gauges bought at the same store at the same time and they read 5 PSI different between them. You can buy highly accurate gauges from a road racing supply house but they are like $80.
With that kind of error margin you might be close to 34 PSI or possibly even above it in reality. If you can get your hands on a second gauge it'd be worth seeing if it agrees with the first gauge you used. That or set the pressure threshold to something high like 40 PSI and then drive for a few on/off cycles and see if it comes on.
