Default Thanks for great info!

I just got my flashpaq and went for the towing tune. I have finally found the responsiveness that I was missing. Thanks for the info!

No mileage increase, but better power. I am currently 10-11 mpg whether on or off road.

This thread is HUGE, been trying to plow through it. Trying to figure out what is the best tune for me to use, looking for suggestions.

I have 07 unlimited Auto with 4.10 gears and 33" tires (more like 32's now). Most of my driving is under 7 miles to work. My initial impression is marginal improvements using the 87 tune the shift points still seem too high on the highway, I can hear the motor start to "bog" before it will shift. Thnking of trying the tow tune or upgrading to the higher octain fuel and try the 93 tune (we have fuel octianes of 87,89, 93 here).

Also, planning a long beach trip (8hrs), what is the best fuel/tune combo to maximize mileage and hold speed at 70mph?

I am curious as well. What rpm and kind of torque increase was found with it?

I liked the increase in power, lowered TPMS setting, corrected speedometer and the slightly improved gas mileage.

Verify your speedometer is corrected as even small amounts of tire size differential can radically change shift points. Using a GPS to get where you need to be is a good way to go.

As for gas mileage I prefer using the higher octane tunes. In the summer months and with inflated fuel pricing it pays for itself. Additionally, the tow tune is going to further increase your rpm for shifts so it doesn't seem like a good avenue to pursue for what you are trying to accomplish.

I'm wondering with my 6spd how this will be affected with the towing tune. I am usually buzzing around under 2500rpm anyway. May have to try it on my next tankfull.

Thanks for the advice. I will play with the tire size, the GPS does have it off by about 2mph at 65mph, which means that my tires are even more worn down than I thought, time for new tires.

How do you shut the tpms off completely I saw the option for just lowering it and it doesnt seem to work for me. How did you go about it on the tuner?

You have to download the disable function from the Superchips program on your computer.
