Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
Not yet, but after reading your report I'm picking mine up on Wednesday. My wife is pregnant so the supercharger or Hemi is on the back burner..... A little gain in on highway performance and much needed mileage improvement will be nice. I've recorded my mileage for every tank since I purchased my Jeep in January. The first two tanks I got about 18-19 mpg. After I did my upgrades I now average about 13 mpg. I'll definitely be reporting my mpg changes.
I wouldn't go steeper. Off Road works very well. I'm turning around 2600-2700 RPM on the freeway and I don't think I would like any higher. Especially if I'm able to install the Hemi or even the supercharger later. I would be happy if I get results similar to yours.
On a Hemi swap I think you'll be perfect as my Hemi Dodge Ram at about the same weight as your JK does great with 4.56s. It has absolutely no problem maintaining highway speeds even below 2,000 rpm. Also, as I understand it as long as you keep the stock PCM the Flashpaq will support a hemi upgrade.
lolIt's always been MUSCLE car to me.
Guess I must be a lot older than most of you guys......oh well
.....lol
Well finaly was able to order and receive my Superchips Flashpaq Programer for my 07 Wrangler X. The first the manual recommended, was to perform an internet update of the software, which I did sucessfully. I then went to my Wrangler, pluged the Flashpaq in under the driver's side dash. I followed the instructions, which allowed the Flashpaq to download a backup of the current OEM program from the Wrangler. After that the Flashpaq was ready for programing. When the Flashpaq booted up, it stated that there was no current program available for my vehicle and it recommended an internet update. I then attempted to reprogram other items such as my spedo. I needed to program the spedo for the 35" tires I recently installed. The spedo programing went well, and the calibration was dead on when verified by my GPS. I then performed another internet update, which included the Flashpaq and the computer software sending my OEM program from the Wrangler to Superchips for them to create a program file for my vehicle. I then called Superchips and was informed that a Tech Support ticket had been automaticaly generated for my issue and that the engineers would have a program file for my vehicle within three to four business days. If what I was told holds true, Superchips Tech Support will get an A+ rating from me. That is where this issue stands. I will update this thread after receiving my file from Superchips and I have loaded it into my Wrangler.

After running the 93 tune a couple of days, it is definitely smoother than the last version of it I ran, and it does seem to have the 91 tune beat for torque in the 2-2.5K range.
Running about 2200 rpm in 6th, up a familiar highway grade, it actually gained significant speed relative to the 91 tune.
But what has impressed me is the smoothness at all levels of throttle input.
Dave, JPOP, and anybody else, out of all the "performance/muscle" cars you guys ever had, which was your favorite?
For me it was my '71 'cuda, 340 (really built up), white, blue interior, 727 trans, 8 3/4 Suregrip rear (3.23 and 4.56, ratios, remember how easy those were to swap).
Even though I had other cars before and after more modified, this was the one that got me laid the most, and even got me into a wedding ring.

Looks sweet. We just purchased an 09 IS250 AWD for my wife. I tried to talk her into a 350, but honestly, I feel a whole lot better that she is in a 250. I was on club Lexus and saw Edwin907 and thought, "I've seen that somewhere before.". Small world. That's a completly different forum than JK-forum - all about how low you can go.
