Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
Looks sweet. We just purchased an 09 IS250 AWD for my wife. I tried to talk her into a 350, but honestly, I feel a whole lot better that she is in a 250. I was on club Lexus and saw Edwin907 and thought, "I've seen that somewhere before.". Small world. That's a completly different forum than JK-forum - all about how low you can go.
I nearly bought a 250, but tracked down a IS350 like I wanted, with just the luxury package, and felt very fortunate to get it at the time (350s were pretty hard to come by).
It is an excellent choice for your wife, as it's a safe and reliable vehicle made by the top auto company in the world, Toyota.
Got any mods planned for hers?
Yeh, I'm actually on cl as we speak looking at mod ideas - mostly asthetic mods, but the addiction runs deep. Agree with all your points, but I bet you are having fun with the 350.
Anyway, before I get banned (sorry mk) back on topic.
The flashpaq is awesome - everyone go get one from northridge!

My favorite of all the muscle cars I ever had was my '69 GTO. Fat/skinny meats, M22, 4.11 rear end and a Ram Air IV under the hood. Way more car than a 16 year old should have. It wasn't ever pretty, but it hauled ass.
My current muscle car is a '67 SS Chevelle. I put a lot of work into it and did a lot of detail stuff under the hood. Looks pretty much stock with the hood down and same with the interior. With the inflated prices of these things it took a lot of the fun out of driving it.
Anyway, here's a couple pictures from a car show a few years back. Also, I'm not a car show guy and this is the only one I was actually a participant in, primarily because it was in my home town and one of the shop owners where it's held is a good friend. Walked away with the People's choice best of show trophy out of about 250 cars and left swearing the only way I go to another one is as a spectator.

Back on topic, I'm pretty curious about the additional 93 tune performance found. Only a couple months before it starts taking too long to get to operating temperature to throw the additional dollars away.
WOW, JPOP, Just WOW!
Give the 93 tune a try if you get the chance.
It's much improved over the earlier 93 tune I ran for a bit. The smoothness is all back, and the low rpm torque is noticeably better than the 91 tune, which was no slouch itself.
I did blast up and down a couple of interstate ramps, like you suggested, to "learn/tune" it. And all the way to over 5K it was very nice and smooth.
Running onto the interstate once, there was a new yellow Camaro behind me, and he was following pretty close, probably itching to get around that slow Jeep, and I tached it out pretty good and ran up to 85mph getting onto the highway.
After we passed the traffic in the fast lane, the Camaro pulled out to pass me, we were still running about 83-84mph at this point, then he slowed next to me and gave me the thumbs up!

Rolling out in the pretty steep first gear I have had some similar experiences with people who thought I wanted to race them or something. I just kind of chuckle to myself because my JK is pretty much done by the time I need to shift and that's somehow the same time that they thought I was questioning their manhood.
I got the laest updates today, and the tpms feature is there now but can only be used on the front wheels<WTF. low rears still set off the alarm. I agree with the
"octane" tunes being better too now.

JPop/Edwin.....my first car I ever bought was a cherry red 65 GTO. I was 16 and paid $500. It wasn't my favorite but it was my first. Some nutcase in a one ton Ford pu ran a red light and totaled it....almost killed me.

I've been considering picking up the flash pac, get a little extra performance and be able to recalibrate later with larger tires and different gears, but I'm curious about the tpm system adjustment. What I just read sounds like you can only adjust the pressure for the front tires. Kinda makes the feature pointless if you can't adjust front and rear.
Sounds like they still have more software issues to work out.
