TPMS Question
This light on the dash annoys me so much. My tires have adequate pressure so the dealership told me its the monitoring system and that it would be around $200 bucks. They also said this is something not covered under my warranty. I never had a problem with the TPMS until the day afetr I got my Jeep back from the dealership on some warranty work. I feel like they did this to me so I would come back and pay them to fix it.
All I want is for that stupid light to turn off, I don't need a light to tell me if I have a flat!!!

By removing the TPMS units completely, the computer takes sometime to recognize there is no signal at all. It will eventually come back on and drive you nuts unless you have a Procal or something like that to turn it off. In Utah where I live, they will not inspect the rig if the TPMS units are not on.
As to the other question of whether you need to replace them when you get new wheels and tires, no, you do not. I have reused mine everytime, with the exception of getting new stems which is relatively inexpensive.

After reading this, I was worried that eventually I will have a problem as well. My light came on a couple of months after putting the new rims and stems on. I checked all my tires and one was low. Filled it with air and light went off.
