Trail Master Lift
It's been about 2-1/2 months since I put this lift on and thought I'd give an update on how the springs settled.
I took measurements after the install and it was 5-1/8" gained in the front and 4-1/2" for the rear.
The measurements tonight show 4-3/4" gained in the front and 4-1/4" for the rear. So after 10 weeks, front and rear coils settled around 1/4". I have about 200 pounds in bumper, skid plate and winch so this probably cost me about 1/2" of gain in the front.

Awesome shots Paul, I don't know how I let your post get by without commenting on it. You might be interested in what I figured out below.
I was thinking about buying a rear spring retainer kit just in case my shocks ever failed. I already knew that even with the shocks fully extended, the springs were secure in their perches.

I was concerned that if the shock ever failed and the rod pulled out of the cylinder, then the axle would drop and the coil would fall out. I haven't seen anyone on this forum have this happen, but I have seen it other places.
I was adjusting my control arms recently and decided to disconnect the shocks to see what would happen when I lowered the axle. The sway bar fully extended and kept the axle from dropping further down. I checked the coils and they were firmly in the perches.

I decided to go one step further and disconnect the sway bar links. With the links disconnected, the brake lines were the next part to watch. I didn't want to put the weight of the axle on the lines so I just lowered the axle until the slack was out of the lines. Even at this point, the coils were snug in the perches. I could grab them and pull them a bit, but they did not rattle around freely.

I would have to have three separate failures (shock, sway bar link and then brake line) before my coils would fall out. So it looks like I won't be needing the coil retainers after all.

Looks good recon. Denny - I just installed some rock krawler spring correction wedges and it was a PITA to get them in between the spring and the perch. Your right, the springs aren't coming out. They make the spring sit a bit higher (closer to the top of the perch) so I bought the retainers with them just to be safe. I installed them but don't really think I needed to.
I think it was a limited time introductory pricing. It's around $3300 on 4wd.com so Quadratec still has the best pricing. Try calling them up and mention the old price. They may throw in free shipping. Also check with 4wd to see if they will beat Q-tec's pricing. I think Northridge is also selling this kit so between the three vendors, you may still get it at a decent price.
I'm just glad I got mine early on before the price went up. I've been off-road several times since installing this kit and have absolutely no complaints. I didn't think going from a 2.5" lift to a 5" lift would make that big of a difference. All I can say is I was wrong.
