Did you drain the oil from the pan when installing the oil pan skid? I am tempted to try it that way but, the thought of a pan full of oil coming off in the garage makes me shutter. Especially if I am under it.

The good news though is that the diesel in the 2013 Grand will help get the brand average up.
Blame Obama?...I'm not making any further statements in regards to this but, that's just dumb.

Either way, they are both comparable in price and they both look like good stuff. They basically protect the same areas, they just go about it two different ways with their mounting.

Being in SoCal, I'm partial to buying local and absolutely love everything EVO does but, I will probably be buying the RROR oil pan/tranny skid...still have a couple weeks till I purchase so I may change my mind...just like with everything else

It's recommended.

That said, I did it the first time I tried putting these on but didn't the second time. Why two times you ask? Well, I was nervous that I was cross-threading one of the bolts so I took it off and did it again another day. The second day, I did not drain the pan. If you are due for an oil change, just do it then.

I didn't drain the oil, it was a zen moment. The jeep was cold and I worked quickly and smoothly. I followed the write-up in the JK Write-ups forum. You will need a 16mm gearwrench.
