Maybe I missed it but has anyone run this TB with the stock intake and then change to a CAI? I'd be curious if there was any more noticeable difference beyond what the TB is already providing that would justify another $200 to $300 for the CAI.

After that, I guess the Diablo programmer would be the next big purchase since I already have the Borla exhaust in place.

The original intake "hose" is 1/2" undersize for the Viper TB. The part throttle response will still be better, but the original stuff won't flow enough at WOT to take advantage of the bigger TB. A larger air filter system will yield top end gains over stock...if the fueling keeps up.

Just an update have had this installed for 3 months still no problems and a great upgrade. Installed with all the mods in my sig. There are now hundreds of people running this viper TB with no issues.

ok so thanks to BURNOUT's results and this thread i bit down on the bullet and bought me a Viper TB. I know that the Viper TB is larger than the factory TB but what coupling size are people using to connect it to a CAI ?

I have the aFe CAI and I needed a 4" to 3" coupler which I was able to find at Pep Boys for $10. It will seem waaayy to big at first, so you'll have to tighten the clamp almost as far as it will go. Also when you tighten the clamp, make sure the ring is seated straight around the whole coupler. As you tighten it, the ring will want to slip off. I haven't had any problems with mine...
