Weighed my JK
Just to set the record straight, the only reason I made mention of the fuel was to give everyone a honest report of the weight. I drive it cuz I love it, when the gauge is on "E" I fill it back up.
On another topic, WOL I will measure the gate Saturday, I definitely see another NorCal run coming. Oh and 5.7 would be sweet! Maybe next years tax return.

Also, when you go to the city dump here in Billings, they weigh your rig when you stop at the entry kiosk. I suppose I could find an old television or computer monitor to throw away and drive out to the dump. I'd be able to see the display on the scale to know how much the rig weighs.
weight in and of itself is not a problem - it's a matter of where it is that'll screw you up on the trail. getting rid of things like your hard top and doors for the trail will free up a lot of weight up high and help keep your cog down but you might want to keep things like your bumpers on as they are attached to your frame and should help you out.
for a trail like bronco peak, you'll do just fine but i would recommend that you go doorless. for one, it'll be hot as hell out there and for 2, you'll be gald that you did towards the bottom where it gets real tight.

Got a visual????
My 07 Unlimited, VIN starting with 1J8GA has 5400 LBS on the sticker on the door frame...
Add to that, my 215lb rear, and 100+lb of ORFab parts, and I am almost near 5800 lbs without fuel.
