It is safe to use the stock drag link. It's just not as sting as an aftermarket. Same benefit to steering though. Only reason I replaced mine was my TREs were worn on both ends.

Well, I ordered the Poly Performance high steer drag link. Might as well do it right.

For your track bar, did you lift it? With a bracket? I have an adjustable track bar but I'm going to put back on my OEM track bar with a relocation bracket.

The AEV SC with flip kit came with a bracket on axle side to raise it. You retain a stock track bar. Mine is stock track bar; otherwise, you'd need a much longer/adjustable.

The kit comes with a longer unit, but is not used as the flip kit takes care of the added length by moving things up higher.

You need at a minimum 3" of lift. From reading and experience with other solid axle jeeps, 3.5"+ seems to be when you would want to flip it and raise drag link to be parallel with trackbar.

Well, I put in 4" coils so I think I'm gonna put in the flipped drag link, track bar relocation bracket, then fit the OEM track bar and measure, if I need more, I'll put in the adjustable track bar.

Well, drag link flip cured some of the problem but control arm relocation brackets fixed it completely. My caster is around 6 now and everything appears to be good now.
