Negative. We were talking about rock crawling. Your response was based on conjecture.

My response is based of experience with a 2.5 teraflex lift that I had and 35"s it's not the same your still limited as to your travel and articulation and approach angles

The shock relocation is still a work in process but my main reasons for relocating the brackets are budget and binding. When I ran 35's and flat fenders, I ran stock bump stop and never bottomed out the shocks in the rear, and the fronts would bind too much to allow full compression. Now that I am on 37's, I need to run 2.5" bump stop and I want to recover some of the travel lost. The rear brackets hang too low from the factory so its better to cut the mount off right under the LCA bracket and weld it on as high as possible without bottoming out the shock at full stuff. In the front, I am building brackets similar to these to recover some travel while rotating the mount 90* to eliminate binding issues.
Thanks gotcha hope it works out

Not moving the upper mount. I had wasted up travel before and I plan on keeping the same shocks.

Has anyone heard anything about the rubicon express 2.5 with the monotube shocks? It looks like it's a half decent kit and people seem to like the monotube shocks.

I'm running this lift on my 2010. I love it! It flexes great and rides awesome! I would suggest you go ahead and get front disconnects and a front track bar. I went with jks and am very pleased.

I already have the electronic disconnect so it should work well. I haven't heard much about their lifts online. What size are your tires? Your rig looks awesome!

Thanks! I am running 33's right now. I want to go 35's but don't really need the 1" you gain and all the power I would loose haha!

Post some pics and share your opinions! I am looking at the 2.5" Teraflex with shock adapters and coil springs as I like the way my Rubicon rides.
I got some springs off a JKU to lift my Rubicon 2dr -- under $100 w/ shocks (and less than 300 miles on them) off our local Craigs List equivalent (ksl.com).

The original springs were 14 Front/54 Rear (look at last two numbers on the spring tags) ... you can get JKU 19/60 springs. This difference would give about a 2" lift F/R in my case -- so adding a 1" spacer would bring you where you'd want. Seemed a lot more accurate than an aftermarket springs since the vendors assume options (winch, bumpers, larger tires, etc.) which you may not have -- I was concerned about driveline issues as well. If you need more, consider a 1" body lift.

Of course, my Rubicon is being built more as a backcountry expedition vehicle than a rock crawler -- so, may not be what you're after.

We went from 14/56 to 18/59 on Our stock two door sport and gained 1.5 front and .75 rear. Add a one inch body lift, and flat fenders, and the drive lines will thank you.
