Got my spacers yesterday and installed them this afternoon. They look great. My tires are now just peaking outside my fender flares.
I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I had 1.25" spacers all summer long with stock Rubicon wheels and 35" x12.5" tires, no loctite, just proper torque. I wheeled quite a lot in all sorts of terrains, plus I comute 300 miles per week, no issue. I took them out to put the winter tires (I broke all studs cause my winter wheels didn't clear for the original nuts longer than 1.25", so the wheel sat on the tip of the nuts instead of the spacer... so I took them off). The torque was still as set, no issues !!

But now, for the price difference, I will get me steel wheels for the summer tires with a good offset (0" offset = 4.5" back spacing) on 17X9" wide so my tire will meet manufacturer's specs (rims 8.5 - 10", originals are 7.5")

i was thinking about getting a set of spacers. is there an advantage to getting these for off roading? any disadvantages?

More stable in certain situations, harder to squeeze between trees in others.
