Default Winch Cover

Yup, I have the synthetic rope also and my number one goal for purchasing the cover was to protect it from the sun. The cover also helps to keep the winch and rope cleaner when splashing around in the mud (assuming I don't have to use it). The cover was pricey, but I'd buy it again as I'm very happy with it. My Superwinch version is made with a water repellent canvas, has nice buckles on it for fastening and cleans off easily. Figure I can spray more repellent on it when it gets older, and the repellent starts to wear off.

i keep the neoprene cover on my powerplant. it has been hammered by a year of desert sun and has faded a bit but still hanging in there. no rain to speak of here really.

my winch is pretty tight against the grill, and sits down between the rails. Aint no forcing a cover on it, and like somebody said, it would catch and hold more crud than it'd repel....
