After my mods, 4.88's, 3" Lift, 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers, Front & Rear Poision Spyder Brawler lite bumpers, I am getting 13 mpg city & 11 highway. MPG went out the window after mods.

You guys with the autos might want to look at a heavier flywheel and a different torque converter if you are really that stressed over MPG.

Not sure how you guys are driving to get readings that bad. My 12 JKU Sahara with an auto, 321's and the same 35's I have on my current 13 JKUR ran a consistent 17-19 city/hwy. driving through the hills of WV to Fla with the wife, two teens and towing my trailer I didn't get that bad (it was between 14 & 15). My 13 JKUR auto and 410's gets 18 combined and improving as I just hit 2k miles, I've had 35's since it had 29 miles on it.

I get in my 2012 2dr with 3.73 gears, auto, 255/75/17 @ 17 in the city to @ 19 maybe 20 on the highway. I have over 31,000 miles on it and never saw an improvement after the "break in" period. I do also believe the MPG indicator is not as accurate as well.

LOL!!! All jokes aside, theoretically, IF a K&N allowed more air, one could assume the engine mgmt would take over and dump more fuel to balance the "improved" airflow. With that being said, one could also further assume, with more air/fuel giving more power, the engine does not work as hard, therefore actually burning less fuel. A simulated increased power to weight effect. Pros ally, I've never seen an increase in mileage with any vehicle. Couple that with running amsoil and a K&N, still nothing increased. I think K&N claims improved power with their intake systems more so than the drop in filter.
