Zen glad it all worked out and my advice helped you out! My flashpaq I had to re-register and download the updater. (Once you flash just wait on how well the Jeep behaves after that ... makes the gear swap coplete.)
It does take a while when hooked up to the PC so coffee , beer , cigs , whatever on standby is good and is the only drawback of the superchips brand ... S L O W software upgrade , equally as so flashing the Jeep too but options and levels are the best out there.
That is awesome info, thanks. I like the idea of a Jeep dealership doing the gears, at least in this area, where this type of mod isn't as common. I'm leaning toward 4:56 gearing for my daily driving Jk, I'm concerned that the often recommended 4:88 might be to steep.

I would let ZEN chime in on his findings. He has a 6 speed and his numbers will help you out. If you stay stock rubber then yeah 4:56 but truthfully that is not a radical departure from 3:73's. If you are even thinking of slightly larger tires then 4:88 is a no brainer as you do not want to gear up twice. The JK with its anemic engine output that is coupled with the WORST transmission ratios and relatively heavy starting weight = unfair power to weight ratios. Now add our wicked svelt and stealthy aerodynamics and you are essentially trying to drive a sheet of 3/4" cement wallboard into a headwind using 30 Roman gladiators as power.

I think my wife and I are heading in the same direction. We have a 2-door Sport that she uses as a daily driver. On the weekends I grab the keys whenever I can. When it comes time to replace my car, I can't think of anything other than a JKU.

Default Introduction....

Hey everyone, just wanted to say hello. Im Scott and I live in Seymour, CT. Picked up my '13 10th Anniversary JKUR about two weeks ago. As soon as I got home, I took the hard top off and put the soft top on. Top has been down ever since! Heres a pic from the day I brought her home in the rain:

Welcome Scott! Great looking rig and you're off to a great start with the mods. I'm up in Middlebury so I'll try to keep an eye out for you. I have yet to see any 10th anniversary rigs so you should be easy to spot

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on here for a while since I've kept my Jeep stock (more or less) and it's my daily driver so I can't afford to break it However I can only be stock so long and I'm excited for a change. This past weekend I did a cat-back and a Tuffy hood lock. Why the hood lock you ask? Because this coming weekend my Ripp kit goes in It's still going to be a daily driver but I hope to make it out to more events/meets/etc... now that my Jeep will at least be a little interesting. Then next year when my stock tires finally wear out I'll do a little lift and 35s and will be able to do more offroad.

So if anyone is driving around CT and notices a white 2dr Rubicon with something strange in the grill in the near future that'd be me
