Mjs, never got to check out the trail ended up camping at hopeville. Found some fun trails down there, More hiking though and according to the ranger if I was out there after memorial day he would have had to care, but there was no one there so I was fine.
I am going to try and find the trail in middletown this weekend if I get the chance but am stuck at this desk right now:sad:

I doubt that I'll be able to join you, but thanks for the offer. Whereabouts is the trailhead in relation to the site you marked on Google maps? Looks like there's a trail of some sort a little ways east on that road you marked, but can't tell for sure...
