Greeting from Orange CT. I have an Unlimited Rubicon with a 3" Tera lift, 35" Truxxs tires and some other armor added. I am always looking to join a trail ride. CT is a lousy place to be a Jeep fan, unless you have friends with some private land. I joined Freedom Trail Riders and have gone on a couple of rides with them. Each person has been unbelievably nice and very helpful. I would encourage all of you to join some of these local clubs. CTJeep.org is another really active club.
Finally, the great folks (Bill and Mike) at SVE Performance in Milford, CT have taken tremendous care of my Jeep. Their level of knowledge and focus on details makes them an excellent choice if you are looking to modify your stock jeep.
Hope to see some of you CT folks soon.
Please email if you want to get together and go riding.
Take care,
Don

Hi Guy's, sorry for being away for soo long. I had to put my computer time on the backburner for a while to take care of buisness.
Welcome to all the new posters from CT. It nice to see more folks joining the thread.
I've noticed a few of you are planing on doing the Camp Jeep Gig...I haven't made up my mind yet, but I've been giving it some heavy concideration.
The thing that is really starting to sway me is the fact that it's on the east coast this year and who knows when it will be this close again?
I see that the thread lay out has changed a bit since the last time I was here.
My first thought was that the Cali. guys got tired of seeing our thread at the top of the list all the time
(oops....did I say that out loud?)
Hope y'all had a great weekend...I'm glad the rain held off.

I think we may now be up around double digits with the CT members... welcome to all!
I was up in NH this weekend, and let me tell you all: Compared to CT, NH is an offroading paradise. Going down Rt. 16 (N.Conway area, southward), there had to be AT LEAST 20 different spots you could go offroad... don't know how many of those were legal, but did I get some mud on my Jeep? You bet I did!
It was a nasty, rutted, snaking powerline right-of-way area, but it went on for at least a mile, and I drove about 1/2 of that (the wife was onboard, and I was running street PSI, so I didn't want to toss her around TOO badly).Hope everyone had a great Mem. Day weekend - I did, and it sucks to be back at work!
sounds like fun mj... may have to take a trip.
Choppers make the camp jeep trip with me! I am looking for a cravan partner. I registered last week and it was still only $245 even though everything says $295 after the 19th. I also picked up a room down there for $60 a night!
I plan on leaving tuesday after work about 4 and heading down 8 hours to get there. Can't wait!!!!:toung: :toung:

Hey everyone, I know a lot of people that were looking for clubs in CT. I am a member of North East Jeep....www.northeastjeep.org Great club, great people, with a lot of membership benefits, such as monthly trail rides, monthly meet and greets, and wrenchfests. Wouldn't mind having a couple of more JK's in the club. Right now my wife's is the only one in the club. Just got back from a 3 day camping trip with the club that was one of the best times I have had. It is a very family oriented atmosphere...in fact my son rode with me(he's 2) on two of the rides. Anyway, if you guys get chance check out the website, and log onto the forums and check things out.
