CT checking in
Last time I was at the Meadows, it was for Pearl Jam... it was a pretty "mellow" crowd, but things still got rowdy at times, and mud was flying... so when you have a not-so-mellow crowd (i.e. Ozzfest, and FREE, at that!), I'd definitely stay on alert for potential fights/riots/pits/etc. But don't let that scare you off!
There are a ton of little mini trails. I have come no where near hitting them all. We can meet right off of rt.9 around 10 or 11? Its no more then a half hour from Hooters. If it's just the 3 of us we should be fine.
Man that's a real bummer to hear about Clubber...Hope it's not too bad.
I know what it's like to be laid up for extended periods. Even though you're hurt
it's nice to be able to kick back and not have to go to work and also to
have people careing for your broken ass....but on the other hand, it can get REEEEALY OLD after a while,
and you can't wait to be mobile again and even get back to work.

As for the trail ride...you guys choose the time 10 or 11 and I'll just work on getting to bed early
enough to be there on time (I tend to have a hard time getting up, that's why I work 2nd shift).
I'm really looking forward to this, so I don't think I'll have a problem.

As for the Ozzfest concert, MJS is right...Don't let what we have told you scare you. Or keep you from enjoying yourself.
It's just that since Ozzfest has so many hardcore bands it draws a bunch of hardcore fans.
If you have never been to a heavy metal concert that has mosh pits taking place, then you are going to be in for a little bit of culture shock.
I have found that when I feel like things are getting a little too wild for me at ANY concert at the meadows,
I like to get up closer to the fence at the top of the hill. It's usally pretty mellow up there.
It gives you a chance to breath normally and relax. And also, just to put your mind at rest. During Ozzfest,
since they know that there is gonna be a more than average amount of hardcore people,
There's a ton of undercover security people in the crowd, and I mean HUGE DUDES, that are there
strictly to keep the peace, and they do their job very well. Some of these guys tend to hang out closer to
the top of the hill, because they have a better view of what's going on, but they are all around.
And they don't care about people smoking weed (If that's your thing) but only as long as you share
...I couldn't help myself
You should look into what is allowed and not allowed to be brought into the show, because I don't
think they allow blankets or coolers durring Ozzfest, but they sometimes do for some other shows.
I look forward to reading your stories of your first Ozzfest experience.
HAVE FUN!!! And ROCK ON!!!!

ouch, I figured clubber was sick of this forums linking thing like alot of people and just stopped coming around. I only use this place for the ct thread because it is getting crazy and same threads are post 400 times. I swear I have seen the earth roamer at least 25 times on here.
And mj of course bring the wife. No, need to ask on that. She will have fun and its always good to have a lady at the table in a hooters.
