Howdy everyone. Just dropping in on the recommendation of "kidjeep". He says this is the place to be for JK owners. ( I'm actually waiting on my Rubi unlimited to be delivered. ) After looking around, I'd have to say he's right.
A little about me. I've been 4 wheeling since the early '80s and since '91 with jeeps. First Jeep was a 91 YJ with 4" and 35's. Some lady that couldn't drive smashed into me and destroyed it. Replaced it with a '95 YJ Sahara. Commenced to blowing up every drivetrain part imaginable and couldn't fathom the thought of going back with the weak OEM stuff. An NV4500, Dana 300, Scout 44's with Detroits and 5.38s, and a myriad of other one-off parts (along with thousands of dollars) and I pretty much have what you can buy in a new Rubicon now. Minus the cushy riding coil suspension. Although the worn out spring-over doesn't ride too bad.
With two new additions to the family, the wife and I thought it was time to accommodate them with enough space to bring them trail riding. So a new detonator yellow Rubicon Unlimited is being added to the grocery list. Looking forward to picking you guy's brains and posting up some trail reports in the future.
A pic of the old paint sans bumpers, rocker guards, and winch. (it's time to start repainting)
See ya'll around. Terry( aka the owtcast )

Great having you in the JK family!
ya'll take care of Terry down there!
And I wouldn't call him a newbie, I remember first meeting this owtcast on a trail(Lower Power Line I thinkg?) in Clayton, OK about 10 years ago before I knew much about anything.
