Default New guy from Miami, FL

Hello all,

My name is Frank. Bought my first 4x4 last week a '12 jk sport 2 door. So far loving the car and the smell! Got some things in the mail already, a 3" Zone lift ProComp 17x9's and some 315-70r17's Falkins. Cant wait to try this new hobby out! Hope to see some of you guys out there as I'm probably going to need help getting out of whatever mess I cant handle! Heres the dealer pic when I got her :

Welcome to the addiction....oh and because you are new we will let the "car'" thing slide

Be sure to post up pics once you get the lift and new wheels/tires on.

Ya I thought about that What is the appropriate word used? JK, truck, Jeep??

I have been thinking what bumpers to get and I really like the rock crawler styles but down here all we have is mud and Everglades. Might just end up getting a winch plate and call it a day.

Also I have been reading on the driveshaft issue with 2012 jk's lifted 3+. I did buy the exhaust extensions but not the driveshafts. Would it be ok if I just had heavy bumpers to drop the lift just enofth to not cause and problems with the stock driveshafts? Remember there's only mud down here.

JEEP is preferred

Yeah I was born and raised in S. Fla. we did our wheeling in the rock quarries and swamp land before it was all developed. Not a lot of choices but we made the best of it.

There are some trails down here in Homestead just behind the Racetrack.

With a 3" lift on a two door you should be fine, most people start to worry around 3.5". Even at that point most of us drive the stock driveshafts till something breaks lol. Since you live in Florida you should look into one of the Ocala trips during the year. Maybe even jeeptoberfest.
