Jeepers Jamboree

Let me know- for sure- I think it would be fun to meet up or even go in as a group

oh come on, the rubicon is a bit different every year and while a lot of it is tougher after the snow melts, it's still a ton of fun even at the end of the season as well. as far as the jamboree goes, sure they help make the run as fun as possible for everyone but i think your suggestion that it's not the same trail after the fact is a stretch. in case you missed them, there are more than one line up or down many of the obstacles and i can assure you that most go untouched by the jamboree. needless to say, if you found the rubicon to be too easy, maybe you should try taking a harder line next time.

Personally, I thought it was a pretty wicked trail

----> but we were careful and conservative with our lines... made it through like a charm

Eddie are you going?

Come on Eddie,
You missed the compliment I was making to the Jamboree. They do a wonderful job. And they also improve the trail.
Yes the snow changes the trail every year - some parts are easier, some more difficult. And I have personnaly noticed the difference between before and after the "grooming".
Meet me up there on Memorial day and see for yourself!!

I plan on going. I think I'll do the 4 day.
Liz, a month ago you weren't going, now I detect a strong "maybe". I'm going to plan on seeing you and Sean again this year.
You should try the 4 day so you can kick back an extra day and explore the Springs. You too, Chip. Hopefully, this year, we wont have the smoke from the fires and you'll get to see the view from Vista Pt (Observation) on your way out. If anyone has specific questions about Jeepers Jamboree post them here or PM me and I'll do my best to answer them. Doing the trail on your own or with friends is a lot of fun, but everyone should try the Jamboree once. (Of course I'd say that.
