Default Going with 35's - Heard I need C Gussets??

I have a 2012 auto with 3.73 gears. I am planning to go with 35" tires on a 2.5 AEV lift.

I heard that I need C Gussets if I do this.

Can anyone tell me if this is true and why?

FYI- I don't plan to wheel this thing a ton. Perhaps 2-3 times a year.

Thanks!

It is true. The end forgings on the JK front axles or, "C's" are really weak and will bend with anything other than stock wheels/tires. Running 35's even around town will eventually cause the C's to bend and that will give you camber that cannot be corrected or, at least, very easily. C gussetts will help prevent this from happening.

Thinking a bit more. Is this due to the weight of the tire? I was considering Duratracs and I heard they are lighter than most 35's. Perhaps a 33 would be a better call?

Who makes some decent ones? I'm not sure if I can mention the online site I'll call "Q", but I can't seem to find any on their site. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i assume you are referring to quadratec and, before you make any other assumptions as to what you can and can't say, i would recommend taht you simply read the rules of the forum.

Yes just the fronts. I have 35s and went with EVO C2s as well. There are a few threads on here. Inexpensive insurance really.
