Cool. Depending on where everyone in the OC is coming from, perhaps we can hook up at Green River Rd. right off the 91. What do ya think?

Good for me. I'm right down the road in Placentia. WOL, do they allow fires at the Playa or not?

The last time I was there, the campground was a designated one (albeit you could hardly tell) and if it still is, we should be able to have a fire so long as there are established pits. I'm trying to look into this now.

Sounds good 10 am in Lone Pine.

Just a thought, Orlancha is about
30 miles south of Lone Pine on 395 it has a Cafe and a small gas station (probably with high prices) but it would save us an hour and we could maybe eat or get coffee.
It is also very close to the road to Death Valley, HWY 138 I think.
I'm in for what ever.

Well, if you've ever eaten at the Ranch House Cafe, you might not be considering it now

Seriously, Cerro Gordo Rd. turns off in Keeler which is off of the 136 and the distance to it is about the same (+/- 8 miles difference) if you go up the 190 from Olancha or down from Lone Pine. And, considering that the food in Lone Pine is better, gas a bit cheaper and last minute provisions can be found here, I just figured this would be the better way to go.
