And I also cut the d-ring tabs at a 70 degree angle so when they are in place, they will have better ground clearance and departure angle hahahahahahaha

Did you make them meet the end of the tube so they're actually bolt on? I noticed its a pita to get d rings on with out cutting the frame, which weakens the cross member for the hitch.

Yes sir, they slide right in flush with the frame rail, no cutting required

I didn't want to cut my frame at all so I made them fit flush without any modifications needed

I like them. If you don't mind about how much material costs did you have? I find it funny that 5lbs of "their" steel is 150$

Thank you. I thought the same thing, $150 is way too much money for these. I just used scrap material from my work so I didn't pay anything, but I think the materials would be about $50 bucks but.I used 3/8 so it might be more. I think evo only uses 1/4", the bolts and washers that come with their kit are probably only $10

Check out, competitive metals in santee. Or el Cajon, I was somewhere around there. Picked up a 20" piece of angle iron for light tabs I made for 5$ they seem decently priced and have just about anything I was asking for from metal for skid plates and d ring mounts to heavier channel for bumpers and what not. Guys seemed pretty legit to, bunch of desert racing stuff all over the walls.

Think I'm going to try making some of these also, seems pretty straight forward. 3/8 is stout as hell!

Yea its very straight forward. Im also going to tack weld some large washers on the outside of the two holes for the 9/16" bolts to remove any slop and keep the frame rail from crushing when tightening them down. Evo d-ring mounts are the same way but you have.to put the washers in with a screwdriver and.try to line it up with the holes to be able to put the bolt through. I will post a lot more pics later
