Denny - does this rig look familiar? The guy in the black shirt was the best spotter I've ever watched/listened to - he was basically driving while his friend (sitting in the buggy) just steered, and executed the instructions given him.

Jason, you will be happy to know that I moved the non matching spare and hid its blasphemy:

I relocated my tag to the back door too. I made a custom mount that also houses my backup camera. It is raised off of the vents:

Lots of great looking JKs (and other 4wd vehicles) out here in San Diego. Problem is that when I try to snap a photo of one or talk to the owner about it they get all defensive and I get the 'death look'. Stupid Californians
I was amazed when once I had a chance to spend about 4 hours bicycling in Santa Barbara. Must have passed by 20-25 other cyclists, and although I waved, most just stared at me and no one waved back (they probably drive JKs now
). I was surprised at how unfriendly the other riders behaved. That aloofness would be considered weird here in Bama, but I guess it's just everyday normal in the cereal state.
Denny and I saw a 4DR driving down the road sporting a Trektop the other day (the guy was probably doing about 50mph). Know how you can blow up a paper sack so that it's all puffed up - that's how this thing looked, like it was ready to pop.
