I have a question about the rack.

I saw on an old thread that the rear support blocks part of the aftermarket/mopar fuel hatch door. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yeah it's a little tight. I just use my key to pry open the door enough to open it. Nothing that's a deal-breaker by any means.

David,

Would you happen to have any kind of tracking information or know what freight line it is coming on? I haven't heard anything on delivery.

I wouldn't say it blocks it..I'm able to open the fuel door the whole way. It does force you to open it different. I have to get the door open from between the roof rack support bar and the body...but it takes all of .021 seconds.

HELP!

I'm installing my soft top on my '10 Unlimited … I can't seem to get the soft top down with the Gobi Rack installed. Looks like the light bar is in the way of it even coming close to shutting.

Has anyone else had this problem? I love this rack and would hate to take off the light bar every time i want to open the top up.

Also i tried to just have it in "sun rider" mode… The rack also won't close all the way it hits on the front lip area. I have tried to adjust the canvas thinking it was that.

Undo your sail panels over the doors, undo the visor clips, UNDO THE B-PILLAR "SUNRIDER" CLIPS, lift the top up from over the B-pillar a bit first and the header will clear the light bar now. You have to move the header back a bit by lifting it from over the B-pillar first to change the angle and then it will clear it; it wont flip directly up like before the rack.

For the sunrider position, make sure you are folding the top material correctly, if you do that wrong it will bunch up and make it sit higher, causing the rack not to shut all the way.

I do this pretty often, maybe I should put a video up...(and Gobi give me a free wind deflector )

Default Rack Arrived Yesterday!!

I wasted no time installing it! Was a little difficult by Myself but managable. Looks great! I drove it last night and didn't notice any extra wind noise. Maybe once I get lights installed. I am having reception issues with Sirius but will handle that this weekend. Well worth the wait and the price. The only thing that I changed was the washers used to mount the front light bar to the windshield. I splurged and spent 60 cents on new washers that fit the bolts better and painted them black. Looks better then gold on black in my opinion. All in all so far so good.

Default Wind Deflector Works

Finally took the hard top off the other day. It was very difficult to maneuver the hard top around the Gobi rack since the standard just walk it backwards was not happening. Finally overcame that and swung the rack back down (haven't put the soft top on yet. It looks great but my most pleasant surprise came when I hit the road. I found that the wind deflector had reduced the wind noise dramatically. At 30 miles an hour I could barely have a conversation with passenger before if the freedom panels were off (I have lights in addition to the rack installed). Now as high as 60 and it still sounds great.

For those with the deflector, is the Gobi logo a decal or painted?
