The rack sits less than 3.5" above the hard top at its highest point. We designed it this way to allow for as much overhead clearance as possible.

As promised, here are a few pictures of the rack from the top. You can see how we kept it as low as possible for maximum clearance. Also, all light tabs are welded on horizontally to keep from hitting anything overhead.

I thought the same but I just went out and measured it personally and it is less than 3.5" from the top to the highest point on the rack. Our designers were really trying to keep it close.

Do you have an estimate on the weight capacity?

Can you go take some pics while jumping up and down on it?

Thanks,

Our initial prototype we have tested up to 350lbs without any issues. With the redesign and the adjustable center section we are going to hopefully rate it up to 300lbs. I just want everyone to know, because this is in the late development stage, and we are taking pre orders, if anyone is not happy with the final result we will be no means hold you to the purchase.

We want everyone to be totally satisfied with the product they are purchasing.

Your designers would not have a problem figuring this out I am sure given the thought and design cleverness that was utililized in your current design. The top down pics really show how truely impressive the design is. Would your company consider a full version in the future? Thanks again!
We have though about extending the rack further foreword to the windshield and understand this is an option that would also be good. Our designers think that without supporting the front of a rack that long, it would not be able to support the same amount of weight if it was cantilevered that far from the supports. The option we are looking at is having an extended rack that would mount to the windshield in order to support the extra length and load.

This is something we will look into, but we would like to finish producing our current rack before we move to something like this.

This is an excellent idea and something we have been thinking about as well.

Thank you.

that is an excellent price and a fine looking rack.

I'm curious about how it is sealed where it punches through the hard top.

Looks excellent. The pics of the internal bracing show how really well thought out it is. Once I see one on a 2-door, I could be ready to order.
