What a nice looking rack!
I would like to see a future tray type attachment for hauling some gear.
One suggestion, have you thought of designing a rack that mounts inbetween the tub and the hard top, like a lumber rack for a pick-up? It would make it easy for the soft top guys to use with no design changes...and no leak issues to worry about either. Maybe for the full length rack.
