I'm glad people are only just now starting to get theirs. I still haven't received mine, but I'm also getting the order shipped to an FPO, AP... Guess I'll have to relax a little for another week before I get anxious.

They have the same tint to them and look very similar. I have run SilverStars in both my fogs and headlights for a while now, but I am more excited about upgrading to the new housing than anything else. The bulbs that come with these IPF lights are very similar in tint to the SilverStars, and an H4 SilverStar replacement bulb would probably work and achieve the same result.
I may well be mistaken but it is my understanding Jeep changed to a PSX24W bulb in the 2010 factory fogs with the housings and / or harness modified to fit. Unless things have changed in the past couple of weeks there is not a suitable Silverstar replacement. The 2010 housings do fit the same aftermarket accessories as the previous model years. Just my 2 centavos.

I just got done installing these and it was a very easy install. Since I have a 2008, I had to do the minor trimming on the supplied harness. The trimming is extremely simple especially if you have a good pair of small diagonal cutters. It's afternoon out so I'll have to wait till tonight to try them out while driving. But I did try them in the darkened garage and they definitely seem brighter. So far so good!

My 2007 with a build date of early Feb 2007 did require triming.

Just finished installing the new IPF headlights and they are looking good.

Couple of lessons learned:

Having an aftermarket bumper, winch and lights on the bumper means I could not get the grill all the way off without stripping all the above mentioned gear off first. I could pull the grill just barely far enough back to get a torq bit in to remove the light housings. Had I pulled the grill all the way off this mod would have taken 30 mins start to finish, instead it took at least 3x that.

When I cut vertically on the IPF wiring harness with a set of cutters much like David has in his write up, the connector housing cracked into two pieces. I carefully glued it back together and used a Dremel with a cut off wheel to finish cutting down the housing. The Dremel allows for a more controlled mod of the connector than a cutter.

Dropping a small black #15 torq bit and hearing it clang around under the hood but not hit the ground is to be avoided during this install. I searched engine compartment, skids and ground for 10-15 minutes before I found it inside my passenger side Rubi wheel.

Can't wait to check out the new lights after dark.

Just got mine installed - install went fairly smooth with the only thing having to do was the minor trimming on the harness... A couple of zip ties for good measure and everything was put back within 30 - 40 mins. Did it inside a garage around 3pm, with still bunch of daylight out. But the difference was still remarkable! Can't wait for darkness now to try out how it looks. Can't remember the last time I was this eager for it to get dark

Thanks again to David and to the many members that posted their write-ups and tips/tricks to make this install go smooth!!!
