New JK Headlights
Just figured out how to multi-quote. lol, my bad.
The fogs are H10s if I remember correctly. I think they also go by "9145ST" as the part number for the Silverstars. And the headlights, if anyone cares on the stock units are H13s. If anyone wants some Silverstar bulbs that have been run for about 3-4 months, I have 2 spare bulbs now. They are like $20 each in stores, I can ship them to wherever for like $20 OBO. Paypal, Send me a PM if interested.
I noticed when I went to take out the Silverstars from the headlights after having them on for like a minute that they did get damn hot. That being said, all bulbs get hot. I have never had a single issue with them. They were direct plug in, and the bulbs look to be the same as the stock bulbs. What makes the Siverstars different, and I could be wrong, looks to be the coating on the end of them. I know they use the same wattage as stock and all that jazz. Like I said, I've never had issues.
This may be a silly question but do the Silverstar bulbs run any hotter than the factory bulbs? No issues reported with them damaging the factory fog light housing or lens? As soon as the weather permits I'll be installing my IPF's and after seeing photos posted of the fogs in comparison I'll want to replace the bulbs in them to more closely match the IPF's.

I would also like to thank all the others, including David at Northridge, that have posted info and photos on the new IPF headlight install. After reading this thread from day one I'm very confident that this install will go smoothly. I can't wait to see the results of this upgrade in person!

Here is with the Silverstar in the stock housing on thedrivers side, new IPF light on the passenger side. Makes the Silverstars look yellow...

There really is an unbelievable difference. It's fair to say that this is the best mod I have done to date (except for lift and tires). I would get these lights before I would do anything else to a stock Wrangler.

I've just upgraded my bumper to one w/o stock fogs, and having just the H13 Silverstars is barely cutting it which totally sucks because I leave my house when it's dark and return well after sundown.
Now that you've had these for a little while, do you see a huge difference between the Silverstar H13's and the IPF H4's in the way they shine up the night?
