How important is it to put the grease on the wire connectors?

I has afraid of causind connection issues with the pins - so I only put the grease on the
connection to the back of the bulb.

Thanks David, I installed mine in my 08 and did not have to do any trimming, it took some muscle to insert them in the housing but they clicked in rather smoothly and look great!

The grease helps keep gunk and water out of the connectors. If you plan on driving through water and mud a lot you should go back and grease up. If you don't plan on doing that frequently you're probably fine. In my old car I never added new grease when I replaed bulbs, and they never got wet enough to rust or whatever.

Wow, the Silverstars make a big differance in the fog's.

This may be my next mod if David does'nt do a IPF kit for them.

Now I just need to get off my a$$ and install my Headlights.

I'm sure it's in the owners manual, but what is the bulb number for the silverstar fogs. They look great and now with the IPF's mine look VERY yellow. Thanks

This may be a silly question but do the Silverstar bulbs run any hotter than the factory bulbs? No issues reported with them damaging the factory fog light housing or lens? As soon as the weather permits I'll be installing my IPF's and after seeing photos posted of the fogs in comparison I'll want to replace the bulbs in them to more closely match the IPF's.

Nah, unplug em, pop em out, plug the new ones in. It was literally as easy as replacing the bulb.

And the Silverstars are way better than the stock ones, but still not quite up to the IPFs...
