A few have posted that the tab on the side of the skid is incompatible with the 2012 2dr. If you look at the pics above the muffler on the 2dr is in the way of the tab. If I could find a single post of a successful install on a 2dr, I'd buy it today...

We'll be taking a closer look at a '12 2-door very soon. We just talked about it in our weekly meeting this morning. We'll post up in this thread when we have anything new to report regarding the '12 2-door. Thanks!

before installing get yourself a ratcheting 16mm wrench, you'll thank yourself later, those front bolts are a pita to get tight without one

hey dusty. if it's just the hold down strap bracket that's interfering with the muffler on a 2 dr, you guys should put out a 2012 version without the strap and strap bracket at all, and with a hole in the bottom of the skid that the 2012 evap cannister can mount to with the same mounting bolt that comes on the 2012 stock skid. the 2012 cannister accepts the bolt on the bottom through the stock skid. simple and easy to mfgr. it would also do away with concern about how tight to tighten the strap holding down the cannister. the cannister slips around on the smooth skid surface unless you tighten it pretty tight.

if it's only the tab, you could cut it off and drill a hole in the bottom of the psc skid and mount the cannister with the bolt that goes through the bottom of the stock 2012 skid.

maybe i can take some measurements of how far the top of the skid is from the mounting bolts that someone might use to see if it would clear the muffler without the tab.

thought about this some more. don't know if the 2012 cannister has a metal nut in it on the bottom where the bolt on the bottom of the 2012 skid screws in or not. if it's just plastic, might still be an issue on how hard to tighten it. the other thing is the 2012 cannister has two round protrusions that slip into the front of the stock skid to keep it from rotating like in this picture.

probably either the protrusions or the cannister itself need to be close to or touching the psc skid front to keep the cannister from rotatiing with only the bolt attaching to it from below.

It's the week between Christmas and New Year's and the Spyder Crew is still hard at work! Here's another batch of Evap Skids coming together...

FYI we have confirmed here in the shop that the Evap Skid does NOT fit on 2012 2-doors without modifications to the exhaust system. Fits 2012 4-doors just fine, as well as all 2011 and older.

Yes. We're looking at a universal version that fits all model years. If we can't get that to work the the '12 2dr's will have their own.
