Suggestions for Tuffy full console
Ahh that basket, nope didnt get that. I may just put some eye hooks on the sides so I can tie stuff down on top of it if I have to. Its really built strong, can hold 300lbs, not sure if that includes the weight of the drawer though. The entire thing weighs 116lbs. No drilling involved at all, uses all stock holes
I have to pack up a trailer today and head out to Pomona for the Spring Off Road Expo. As soon as I return from that trip, we should have some good drawings or maybe even a photo of a prototype to post for comments. We are considering taking names of interested people and having a drawing for a couple of "testers" once the console is done. Once we figure out the best way to handle that, I will post details.

Missed you at Pomona. I guess I spent too much time at the Dirty Girls booth.
Was wondering two things: 1) how goes the design of the prototype? 2) Any plans to build the rear cargo drawer bigger; for those of us who would gladly remove the sub??Dayton

if so, thats sort of what I'm designing, and would be easier buying it than having it fabricated (since i'm no fabricator, i'd be paying someone else)
Not sure if I talked with Jeff at the show, but what I was told is that they are having problems figuring out what to do where about the bottom of the console where it meets up with the carept. Ours flares out about 1/2" since the carpet does not go all the way underneath the carpet. They are debating whether to make it go straight down and have the possibilty of the carpet not always reaching underneath (would look sloppy IMO) or make a flare to cover the edge of the carpet.
May just be me, but this doesn't seem like that big of deal. Seems like an easy fix to get their product out quicker. Just seems like a 1/2" flare is holding up their entire production line.
In other words, hurry up I want my center console.

Is that the Tuffy part #140?
