Suggestions for Tuffy full console
Some of these have already been asked for, but here is my wish list:
- raised lid for more comfortable armrest height - padded of course
- above would increase volume of storage compartment (plus)
- keep minimum 2 cupholders for front and provision for 2 in rear
- 12v inside the compartment to charge cellphones, gps, etc
- lockable radio/CB mounting provision like some of your other consoles - this is the best feature of your consoles!! i'd like to put a high $$ deck in my jeep, but am afraid it will be stolen.
- some type of depression or tray on top for keeping cell phone - or maybe rubber non-slip mat on upper surface.
- provisions to mount auxiliary switches (lights, winch, etc) - like plugged holes near front edge? or just a good surface/location we can drill our own.
- mesh / net style pockets to hold maps, cards, etc (maybe in side compartment and/or on the side or rear faces of the console).
- look at rubberized coatings - soft bedliner material so it has a durable finish yet not so hard and adds some sound deadening.
- feel free to extend or angle the front of it up and eliminate that lower cover on the i/p (just below the HVAC controls). if you can get some usable space for a compartment or switch mounting, that would be a good use of that wasted space.
That is all i can think of at this time. Thanks for asking the customer!

Like most of the other posts. A little taller, a little longer. Better padding is a must. I was a little disapointed once I got my Tuffy console. The padding is so soft my elbow smashes it down and rests on the edge of the metal. I will probably get it reupolstered when I have the cash which kinda sucks because that is the main reason I bought it. The lock is awesome, but I think it needs to come with a BIGGER key! jk.
Also, I had to retap a couple of holes. Not a big deal. But definatley a QC issue.

Yes, I'm a big fan of color matched, higher armrest but my personal opinion is you should make the console inside as plain as possible. I don't want any change holder or ipod holder or cb holder or anything. If I want something mounted in there, then I'll mount it. That would be the ultimate for me. Also, no cup holders or anything for the rear would be my preferance on a 2dr model. Or make it to where its modular. I'd rather put a plate for electrical inverter or something else there. I plan on tossing my rear seat so no need for cup holders.
Bottom line is I want it as secure and plain (on the inside) as possible. On the outside, color match and higher/better armrest would be perfect. That's my 2cents.

Same here or worst case, put a mount to hold the mic for the CB. Also how about some inserts to the storage area so you can organize it a little?
