I've seen a few of these pics, and they look great! I've got the security box now, and I might be switching over to this (local guy on the forum might be interested in the box) but I'd like to see one more picture, if you could.

Can you post a picture of deck with the tailgate closed?
I'd like to see how close it fits to the tailgate of the JK when closed, maybe a side shot looking in (with top removed, or at least liftgate/rear window open)... or a shot straight down... something to that effect.

If you could, I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

One question I have is for keeping it more secure with a soft top or no top. Can the tailgate automatic lock/ unlock be disabled so it has to be unlocked with a key only? Maybe just disconnecting a wire on the lock solenoid.
Also it would be nice if the lid was hinged across the middle so it would bi-fold up against the back seat for taller items and not restrict the rear vision.

Tuffy,

I did not see this mentioned above or on the site. I have a 2-door and I noticed you can easily removed the front and top. If you do that, can you put the rear seat back in leaving the sides in????

Nice work on the new Security Deck

Does this work with the Tuffy Expedition Partition?

Thanks.
With the Tuffy Security Cubby cover it is more like 15.25". With the factory cover and carpet it is 15.5"

The current version is 36 5/16" long from front to back. That is going to take up most of the space in a 2 door model but you will have a little extra in front for some storage. I haven't seen any plans for a longer version at this time.

We just took the unit out of our JK to experiment with packaging options. I can tell you however that it goes all the way to the tailgate. There is a large rubber seal that meets up with the tailgate and fits in the "slot" area that is formed in the upper part of the tailgate. A picture from the top would show no gap between the two.

The unlock function of the power locks is disabled after a few minutes of inactivity. Check your owners manual for the complete details, but I know if I lock the doors using the fob and wait a couple of minutes, the internal door lock switches don't work. No one would be able to reach in and unlock the tailgate this way.

You would have to take the sides out to put the rear seat back in. It would only take a few minutes to do this.
