What would you like in a snorkel design?
Loving the concept so far. Just a little curious of what the snorkel will look like with no light bar. That's my only concern. Any type of light bar would be a hindrance for me with the trails I wheel in. I would like to see the high mount tube diameter increased for a better visual appearance and I'm sure increased air flow. This is really awesome otherwise. Love not seeing a bunch of tube running up the hood!

Well guys...... thanks for the feedback. As you can see concepts and how they change can be both fun and hard. When you think up a product or idea you're free to draw it the way you would want it to be.... when you try to add all the features that everyone wants things get a little harder. Then there is the fact that the real world changes things as well. We are working on the function before form so the shape has been driven by how it needed to work. This weekend we are testing in more rain to insure the intakes function correctly and the rest of it fits and works together as planned. The low intake was changed around to reduce hood runoff so that water did not get sucked in. The original drawing had it facing forward and low.... it looked good but did not function. The high intake was put together yesterday and this was the first chance to see it mounted. We will be changing the size as well as developing our own ram intake. The generic version is slightly to big.
The high mount was designed inbound of the windshield for two reasons.... the first and most important was to get it out of the way on the trail... remember this is function before form. The other reason was so that it worked with our light bar.... when we released the light bar we were asked why we did not design it around another companies snorkel.... we we wanted to fix this with our design. Damned if you do damned if you don't. I will work to get some images of the high intake without the light bar. Also remeber these are test intakes to see how they function. We will back in styling next......

When you take off the light bar, can you throw an A pillar light mount on it and show that with the low profile intake? I like your concept so far, but I would like to continue to use my A pillar lights.
Thanks

Gotta love the give and take of a new design! I'm confident that you'll work everything out. Function over form is very important to me also. I'm glad ya'll have the same outlook. With the storms we have rolling through mid/eastern TN. I'm sure you'll have plenty of rain to test in shortly. Thanks for communicating with us and keep up the great work!

Rugged Ridge, how high do you plan on making the intake above the hood (you said the windshield will still be able to be folded down, but wouldn't that make the intake really, really short)? I don't care if I can't fold down the windshield

been following since the beginning and gotta say it looks good so far.
