Using a metal alloy, that will not rust, you can lower your production cost. It will not brake like plastic and you can Paint it any color you like.

2- The Triangule shape was just food for though.

(1) Plastic is used for the complex shapes that will be required. Up front tooling cost will be higher but overall pcs cost is much lower.... The more you sell the quicker you can pay off your tooling cost. Fabricated units will always have build cost that can only go up over time. As for plastics...? Have you looked at your JK? wonder if your fender flares will last the life of your Jeep if you don't replace them. It all comes down to the quality of the materials used.

(2) The shapes, as noted, will change. The images shown, also noted before, are development mules. We will do working on getting them cleaned up. As for the triangular shape it really would not do much. You still have a 3 1/2' tall wall (W/S) that you are mounting it to.

If air flow is a concern I would stay with the low mount. it sits lower and in a low pressure area. (No real wind affect).

This is a modular design. It requires a mounting base that can have a cover to direct air (low mount) and a sealing surface for the pre-filter or high mount. Making the base the scoop would complicate the attachment of the other intakes... So you see by making them separate we are cleaning up the design for all the intakes.

Until we run true Dyno numbers with the final product I'm going to go with indifferent. We made sure that no pathway was smaller than the OE air box opening. We do have a bit more pluming but at this time cannot detect any seat of the pants or timed drag differences.

All I can do is hope that all goes so smoothly that it comes out early summer instead of late summer. Thanks again for your hard work.

I wouldn't hold my breath projects usually go long, almost never ahead of schedule.
