What would you like in a snorkel design?

Way back in the begining of the thread we noted that the system uses the factory upper section of the intake system. Nothing has changed past the stock air filter so there should be no issue with CARB. Also if desired the system can be removed and returned to stock, including the cowl section.

If you read most of this thread, there are two options available a shorter version which can be built into the larger version that you see above.

PLEASE no comments about the size if the high intake... This has been reworked and has been made more proportional to the rest of the system.

At this time the pre-filter will be a sourced item but we may look into developing our own version if we see a need.

The pre-filter low looks fantastic! 99.999% of jeepers will never see water deeper that what this will handle...

Very utilitarian look.....any word on when it will go on sale?

Yeah... And i quote:

"Working to get the first manufactured prototype as soon as possible. Current lead time places it late summer at best. Will be a SEMA release item this year for sure. We will not be doing an official roll out until then but should already have the items in stock by that time (Late September - October)"

I've been lurking around this thread since it started, but I figured it was about time to speak up. I love the low profile design, and will absolutely be ordering this once it is released. I hope y'all make enough of them, I'm going to be bummed if these things are on back order 6 hours after they become available for purchase (unless of course I manage to have better than usual luck and order one in the first 6 hours).

Me and you might need this sooner rather than later with this rising river...

The idea is right. The cowl exit that will not interfere with the hood. I would like to see it not extend past the side, but go straight up the window.

The option of having a low and high snorkel is also an advantage. You have the protection without the permanent snorkel.

I have reservations about the quality of Rugged Ridge products, and do not think that I will be putting my engine on the line. There are a lot of products that Rugged Ridge makes that I would purchase, but everything I have had from them has been cheaply manufactured. I may have just tried the wrong products, but QC should be company wide.
