Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some will like the mushroom, others not so much. Count me in the "love the mushroom" category...it just looks JEEP in my opinion.

Also, take a hard look at the pricing. I just don't know how much longer our overall community is going to be able to sustain purchases of $500-$1000+ for every add-on...if vendors aren't careful, I fear they are going to price themselves right out of the market...

looking forward to your final design...PM me if you need a test sled...happy to do it for the 2010 Rubi Unlimited crowd!

Is it ready yet? Is it ready yet? Is it ready yet? Is it ready yet? I'm gonna buy a snorkel soon.... I hope it's from you! In all seriousness, I know these things take time, but you know how jeepers are. We are impatient and when we have money, it burns a hole in our pocket! How about now? is it ready yet?

I feel the same way as the ^^^above ^^^ poster (I am really excited to see what you guys come up with) but I know Rugged Ridge is working hard.

In this thread, there has been some great response to the mushroom look. I myself love it Could you offer the mushroom as an option at least

Also, are you still trying to make it so that there will be no cutting in visible areas for the install?

Thanks again for letting us give our opinions You guys have come out with some pretty cool stuff lately. I can't wait to see what else is in store.

Worked on it yesterday. Regarding the area to cut.... Yes it is hidden but how clean the cut is depends on you...

An additional small bracket will be supplied with the kit so that the removed part can be bolted back on if the snorkel is ever removed.

The mushroom look will have a more styled look to it. We want it to have a more JK look to it. We want it to look as if Jeep designed it on the JK from the start.

I would like to post some images but I cannot do it without letting the cat out of the bag on how we are making it work. When we get closer to SEMA and the JK is put back together I'll post some images.

Time line is still spring - early summer 2011...... Sorry but that's the best I can do. The good news is that we are full steam ahead on this project as of this week. It will be made.

Sweet! From what I see and don't see:

A tube runs behind the battery to the cowl area. There's a blocked cutout in the side cowl panel that could accept either a shorty snorkel or a more traditional one. My only concern is if the shorty would conflict with or block a windshield light bracket and light.

Our side cowl cover part is being used as a template.... This is not how it will look... but just wanted to show that there is movement.
